Homogenization injection plungers WearFood

100% hygienic with enhanced wear and running properties

When homogenising milk products, sugars or other substances contribute to wear on the injection plungers. Wear also occurs where the seal presses on the surface, resulting in hitting and scraping against the surface. Improving wear and running characteristics is therefore essential. It’s important to at least maintain or, if aggressive cleaning agents are used, to improve corrosion resistance.

For application in food production, stainless steel 316 must be used. By hard inchromizing (CM 03002) the stainless steel, Chromin produces a very tough surface (2000 HV), while also providing corrosion resistance. This extends the service life to more than three years.
