Thermowell and thermocouple protective tube TemperaturePetrochemicals

Corrosion-resistant at high temperatures

Thermowell and thermocouple protective tubes are used at high temperatures from around 500 to 850°C. This intense heat causes damage, which leads to errors in the temperature measurement. The service life of the tubes is normally three to six months.

By increasing the chromium content by approximately 35% and the surface hardness to up to 1000 HV, this creates a corrosion and erosion-resistant surface of up to 850°C. And it’s not unusual to extend their service life ten to twentyfold.
